Found by P.C. & Kristin Cast

I love all the extra Stark in this book. There is still only enough room in my heart for him and Aphrodite. 

(Also, Gender Bend Zoey in the form of Other Kevin being Other Aphrodite’s soulmate? I said it in a review of the OG HoN that Zoey and Aphrodite had more chemistry than Zoey and her squad of pre-Srark men. This is just proof that if the Cast’s were more bold, they could have had one of the most epic lesbian coming of age love stories in history.)

I am so beyond glad to see something new come out of this series. Other Neferet embracing healing and love was exactly what I wanted to see. Though, I have to say, your fiancé beating and sexually assaulting you is significantly easier to come back from than your father being that monster to you. I don’t believe Original Neferet couldn’t have come back from her trauma, but I’m not going to discredit the difference between a fiancé betraying you in such a heinous way versus it being a father. 

Other Neferet’s final redemption and change was truly beautiful and almost worth having to read about Neferet and her fucking antics for ANOTHER four books. 

The final goodbye between Zoey and Heath was sweet and necessary. I really love the Stark-Heath hug and the obvious affection Stark has for him despite the trickiness of the situation. 

“The end … for now?” PLEASE LET IT BE. Leave Neferet’s bastard soul to be doomed to nonexistence and leave Emily to grow into a new person outside of the trauma that plagued Neferet. 

Anyway, I’m glad it’s done. Please, Casts, leave the HoN alone and stop adding books to the series. I’m begging you.
