Wild Wolf by Susanne Valenti & Caroline Peckham
Oh, man. Poor Hastings.
This book doesn’t feel like it needed to happen. They should have escaped at the end of book 3 and that should have been the end of it. Not the first time I’ve felt these authors drag things out for the sake of dragging things out.
Sin isn’t enough of an enigma to warrant having drawn the plot out like this for the sake of a backstory for him. It’s like they wanted him to have the compelling fill in the blanks unknown origins like Gabriel while being a knock of Ryder in the badass department and being akin to Leon with the sexual liberation aspect. Idk, he just doesn’t speak to me as a character enough to have needed this book just for his sake.
I couldn’t do it. I’m sorry. I tried. But man, I’m so so so so exhausted. I’m done. Never Keep will sit on my TBR pile for an undetermined amount of time for now because I just cannot handle any more of this universe right now.
