Six Scorched Roses by Carissa Broadbent

Lilith was an immensely compelling character, the story itself was engaging enough for a novella, and I wasn’t bored to tears. It had a beginning, a middle, and an end, which feels like it should be obvious, but I’ve read a few novellas that added nothing to the overall world and were simply a collection of days and experiences that lent nothing to the characters, plot, or story in general. This fleshed out Vale more as an individual, though, and expanded on an already interesting character in Lilith.

It was a short, easy read that showed a new side of the human world outside of Obitraes.
