Gleam by Raven Kennedy

I have too many words to succinctly sum them up.

Auren is officially the bad bitch I’ve been waiting on. Truly a beautiful thing to witness because I was so tired of watching her get manipulated and pushed around. She was her own redemption arc and no I won’t explain what I mean by that. Anyone who’s been in an abusive relationship will probably understand what I mean. There was a minute there where I thought she was going to spend the next book back in captivity, but I’m pleased to be wrong.

Mmmmmmmmmm Slade. Yum.

Digby is the definition of ride or die and I love him for that. Give my boy a nice meal, a hot bath, and some antibiotic cream and let him live out his days however he chooses by Auren’s side because he deserves nothing less than everything he wants.

Still miss Sail.

Lu is kind of everything. Her and Judd don’t get hardly any page time, which feels completely criminal. I’m interested to watch their dynamic play out more, as well as the dynamic of the Wrath as a whole, now that it seems like Auren will be spending the majority of her time with them.

Fuck Midas right in his little bitch penis. As well as being a deplorable and abusive narcissist, HE NEVER EVEN MADE HER CUM? NOT ONCE? Please. How pathetic.

Some of this was harder to read than others just because of the nature of Midas’s abuse, but it was well done and I feel integral to the plot and setting up book 4. I am beyond curious where the story will go from here since Midas got his dick wet in the most appropriate way imaginable. Maybe we’ll get Queen Auren and potentially kingdom skirmishes with Third after that display. Anywho, I liked it the most so far.
